**Update 09-26-2014
This app will always have my highest rating. It is my most used app on iPad. I can only hope that the developer will provide an update for iOS8.
I have been using Guitarism with Audiobus and many different amp simulation apps. However since Audiobus was updated to iOS8 it lost all compatibility with Guitarism and every amp app that I have. It makes a huge difference in my appreciation of the app.
Im crossing my fingers that the fine developer of Guitarism is hard at work to fix the issue with Audiobus. I also hope the developers of all the amp simulations I own do the same.
*****
I love this app just as much as I love playing guitar.
First of all the sound reproduction of the various guitars is very realistic. But behind the great sound is an ingenious interface that allows for a near natural guitar playing experience.
18 chords! I dont think there is any other guitar simulation (in app form) with as many. I was very pleased that 18 is just the right amount of chords necessary to play Simon and Garfunkels Bridge Over Troubled Water.
Strumming piano! The polyphony mode is fantastic. You have to pay extra but if you have GarageBand then dont hesitate. It works great on my iPad 3. What fun it is to strum the piano especially when playing Billy Joels Piano Man. Lol!
I honestly dont have any complaints about the app but I do have suggestions for future enhancements. The implementation of a cloud save feature for your presets and the inclusion of more chord selections would be nice.
Kudos to the app designers and engineers!
